Yesterday Chop Suey Books held a screening of music videos made by the general public for the group "One Ring Zero". Pictured is half of the group, Michael Hearst (on guitar), I unfortunately didn't get the drummer's name, or even much of him in this sketch, but that's because I was focused more on his cool drums which he had painted in the most beautiful colors (which I haven't recreated here).

This sketch is the owner of the bookstore with his dog "Cooter", watching the videos after Michael sang.

Slowly scanning in the sketches from my trip to New York earlier this month, the couple sitting at the table in the cafe car of the train were commuters, when they left I heard other commuters call out their names as they said good-bye, thanks for modeling for me Nicky and Ray!

Sometimes drawing takes me someplace I wouldn't normally go, so I'm glad for the push it gives me, otherwise I'd have missed the sight of floppy antlered reindeer in concert =)

Annie came downstairs today wearing this new hat, I love it!

funhouse mirror me bc

Did a blind contour of my whole body making a funny face with the help of a fun house mirror that sits on the sidewalk outside a store on Cary Street. I drew my reflection on the side that makes you tall (of course!) and then drew it again as a blind contour.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Seem to have caught a bad case of the dreaded "loss of momentum". I'm heading to New York today to look for a cure, if I can't find it there, I'll not find it anywhere. Okay, okay, I know it may be in my own backyard but still, think I'll look in New York first.
