Small Serving
An old drawing I did to illustrate "diet ice cream", submitted for this week's "Illustration Friday" word "small".
added 12/2: Thanks everyone for all your comments, glad you liked my old drawing, just wish I'd been able to think of something new, will work on that for next time!

Brad Holland
Sketches of one of my illustration heroes, Brad Holland, scribbled during his lecture at VCU earlier this month. Thankfully, since my memory is so poor, most of what he said can be found on his site in an article entitled "Express Yourself".

drawing bits of chop suey and half of one ring
Yesterday Chop Suey Books held a screening of music videos made by the general public for the group "One Ring Zero". Pictured is half of the group, Michael Hearst (on guitar), I unfortunately didn't get the drummer's name, or even much of him in this sketch, but that's because I was focused more on his cool drums which he had painted in the most beautiful colors (which I haven't recreated here).
This sketch is the owner of the bookstore with his dog "Cooter", watching the videos after Michael sang.

obstreperous blind contour model
I told this statue from The Virginia Museum that making faces was for last week's "Blind Contour Friday" but he wouldn't stop.
You can find more cooperative blind contours at "Inkfinger", go see!

funhouse mirror me bc

Did a blind contour of my whole body making a funny face with the help of a fun house mirror that sits on the sidewalk outside a store on Cary Street. I drew my reflection on the side that makes you tall (of course!) and then drew it again as a blind contour.
More "blind contours" can be found at "Inkfinger", go see!

Rufus Sketched and Photographed
One of the neatest things about "Flickr" are the "tags". When I searched for "Rufus Wainwright" I found this set of photo's of the concert! Thanks Planetacid!

It's Up To You New York
Hi Wally and Friends,
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Seem to have caught a bad case of the dreaded "loss of momentum". I'm heading to New York today to look for a cure, if I can't find it there, I'll not find it anywhere. Okay, okay, I know it may be in my own backyard but still, think I'll look in New York first. Be back on Friday!
Love
Sneaky Cin
p.s. today is my blogs birthday. I could never have imagined when I started this a year ago that on Saturday my drawers would end up in a bunch (or that it could be so pleasant). Wow, it's been the most amazing year. Sending love to all my internet family that have made it so. OOOOXXXXX
