New Year's Eve

This drawing was Cindy's last one for 2005, and features her familiar models Itemus, Annie and Patti, with a fourth person that I believe is Donna. It's from the perspective of the front desk, as Cindy was finishing up her stint "manning" the phones.
I love the one little touch of color she added for Patti's pink ribbon bracelet. She really captured each of them beautifully: Itemus, contemplative and open; Annie, ever watchful and sweet; and Patti, serenely sleeping amongst it all.

Merry Christmas!

This illustration from 2005 was always one of my favorites!
It's a great example of Cindy's sense of humor and her smarts.

Rosa's Christmas Lunch

The highlight of every month for a lucky group of us is a delicious vegetarian meal prepared by our friend and TVH volunteer, Rosa.
Cindy captured us in various states of comfort and taste bud rapture on many occasions. This drawing is from December 2005, and features an extra special treat, individual containers of Rosa Christmas cookies! They are wonderful and highly anticipated each year.

Christmas sleigh ride

Cindy loved drawing horses. She loved drawing the great window displays at Bygones Vintage in Carytown. This drawing of the Christmas window from 2006 afforded her a chance to do both, much to her joy!

Also from 2005, this scene is set in the corner of the lobby at TVH. Callie knows how to pick her nap spots!
I love the color balances Cindy chose.
Hope everyone's pre-Christmas Saturday, or next-to-last Saturday of the year if you don't celebrate Christmas, was a good one!
