went to the Duck Race (which benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters) on Brown's Island today, I was hoping to win the grand prize, a car, so I'd have something to remember the day by, just in case I did this drawing of it, turns out that was a good thing.
It's difficult to draw a crowd! So when Susan Greenbaum came to sing today, I was only able to sketch a small portion of the room, I didn't even include all the people at this one table, too bad 'cause I'd have liked to have conveyed how happy everyone was to have her here, the room was packed!
Mmmmmmm, what I could capture quick of the plates in preparation, greek salad, stuffed grape leaves, bread with hummus, and clafouti for dessert, Mmmmmmmmmmm :)
which Kristen served without sugar, I saw Barbara's face after her first sip and knew, "Splenda please!"
who arrived before I finished and saved me from completely melting in the heat, phew, as Sparky says, it's hot!
